Monaincha - County Tipperary
On a former island in the middle of Monaincha Bog stands a High Cross and
the ruin of a small church. The monastery experiences a revival in the 12th century when it became Augustinian. The nave-and-chancel church has a richly decorated Romanesque west doorway and chancel arch. Fragments of a 12th century High Cross have been re-erected outside the church. Decoration includes horsemen and a Crucifixion.
