Creevykeel - County Sligo
Creevykeel Court Tomb is located about 1 mile off the main Sligo Donegal road, north of Cliffoney. It is one of the best examples of a court tomb in Ireland. It consists of a long trapeze-shaped cairn enclosing an oval court and burial chamber of two compartments. The court was where rituals were performed. These monuments have been dated to circa 4000 BC.
