Trim Castle ,Co. Meath

Trim Castle is the largest remaining Anglo-Norman castle in Europe and stands at the edge of the area once known as The Pale. It is located on the edge of Trim town and is an impressive building especially when lit up at night. It is possible to take a tour of Trim Castle and you can retrace the steps of Mel Gibson as Trim castle was used during the filming of Braveheart.
