Dundalk is the county town of Louth and it is appoximately half way between Dublin and Belfast. It's name originates from the gaelic name Dun Dealgan. It is a great shopping town with a wide variety of shops.
Not far from Dundalk is also a small whiskey brewing plant called Cooley Distillery which has new brands such as Kilbeggan, Locks and Millars Whiskey. Also located in Dundalk is the Race track which hosts both horse racing and greyhound racing.
