The Creevale Friary is located just west of Dromahair and is accessible by foot. It was founded in 1580 by Owen and Margaret O’Rourke in Creevale and was the last Franciscan friary to be built in Ireland before the Dissolution. This building is now in ruins but the entire instead still functions as a graveyard.
