A Guide to Ballymore Eustace

Ballymore Eustace is a town in the east of County Kildare. It is situated on the R411 and is near the Wicklow border. It is located on the River Liffey. The town is famous because it was the site of the Battle of Ballymore Eustace. This was during the 1798 rebellion between British forces and Irish rebels. A nice place to visit is Russborough House which isn’t far from the town and contains beautiful art. There are plenty of things to do in the town. You can do fishing, sailing and windsurfing amongst other things on the Blessington Lakes, which are nearby. A hotel is located in the town as well as a few pubs.
