All of the cd roms can be ran in automatic mode so that the user sits back, watches and listens to each location and is taken on a magical tour of Ireland. In manual mode the user can control where they want to go by clicking on the map or name and activating the tour. In this mode the user has control of the direction they want to look by moving the mouse left , right , up or down. In manual mode doorways appear on the images and by clicking on these you step through to another area in that location. At each location there is a voiceover explaining the area and giving a brief insight to its history.
