Set in an idyllic location on its own island in the River Suir estuary, accessed by ferry, Waterford Golf Club is a beautifully manicured and well laid out course on the grounds of the luxury Waterford Castle, a five star resort that offers a lot more than just golf. Waterford Castle is a luxury Island resort covering 310 acres with a par 72 Championship Golf Course.

Developed by founder and owner of Waterford Castle, Eddie Kearns, it was designed by Des Smyth and Declan Brannigan. The course was opened in 1990 with the club being formed in 1992. The Smurfit Group later purchased the resort to add to the K Club in Straffan, County Kildare.

The course is a beautiful parkland setting on 200 acres where nature abounds and water comes into play on 4 of the holes.
A standard 10 par fours, 4 par threes and 4 par fives is the set up with measurements as follows;

Currently our membership stands at 506 Men, 146 Ladies and 120 juniors.
