Cooley Peninsula

by Look Around Ireland on December 12, 2013

The Cooley Peninsula is one of Ireland’s hidden gems. It is located in outside Dundalk, County Louth on the east coast but boasts a wealth of beautiful scenery and legends.

Carlingford Lough with a backdrop of the Cooley mountains has lots of walks and trails. Carlingford is a village with narrow streets and ruins of King John’s castle dominate the town. It has lots of quaint pubs and restaurants, well worth a visit.
