Dublin is the capital city of Ireland. It is a modern city but is well known for it's culture and history.

Molly Malone
Molly Malone the famous fishmonger who in bygone days wandered the streets selling fish from her cart. This statue of Molly Malone is now a famous landmark at one end of Grafton Street. See larger picture >>
The GPO
The GPO or General Post Office is the prominent building on O'Connell Street. Famous also
as being the focal
point of the Easter Rising of 1916. The Proclamation
of Independence was read in the GPO and it was gutted during the battle.
Halfpenny Bridge is an old iron bridge that crosses the River Liffey. At one time you were charge one half penny to cross the bridge hence the name Half Penny Bridge.
Grafton Street is a busy pedestrianised part of Dublin. As well as the noise of the hustle and bustle you will often here of musicians (called Buskers) as they play to the crowd at the side of the pathway.
O'Connell Bridge was originally built in 1794 but has been modified since then. It was renamed when a statue of Daniel O'Connell was erected at one end.
Dublin Castle stands on the highest ground in the locality, at the junction of the River Liffey and its tributary the (now underground) Poddle, which formed a natural boundary on two sides.
St. Stephens Green is a park in the centre of Dublin City. Many people come here to escape the hustle and bustle of Dublin City and while ther you may feed the ducks.
