The house & gardens are located in Phoenix Park and cover 78 acres of pictureque gardens. The house was purchased from the Guinness family in 1999 by the Irish Government for 29.2 million euros.
It is a great place to spend a day to view the wide range of trees, flowers and fauna. When finished you can stroll through the galleries to view craft exhibitions and art or visit the boathouse restaurant for a well deserved coffee!
Guided tours of the house are free and can be arranged by calling 01 8155981. It is a beautiful building with some fantastic rooms such as the Dining Room, Study, Oak Room, etc.
