Name JFK Arboretum County Wexford Nearest Town New Ross Access Road R734 About Between New Ross and Campile in County Wexford stands the JFK Park Arboretum covers 252 hectares (623 acres) on the southern slopes and summit of Slieve Coillte in County Wexford.

It is dedicated to the memory of President John F Kennedy, whose family originally came from nearby Dunganstown and who visited her in 1963 shortly before he was assassinated in Dallas Texas.

The Arboretum contains 4,500 types of trees and shrubs from all temperate regions of the world, planted in botanical sequence.

There are 200 forest plots grouped by continent.

A road provides access to the summit at 271m from which there are panoramic views up to New Ross and south to Waterford.

The River Nore provides a compelling sight from the summit as it meanders along a beautiful valley below you.

A Visitor Centre houses exhibitions and audio visual show.

There is access for people with disabilities and
a restaurant and childrens play area combine to make visit a highlight to remember, particularly in the summer months.
