Mullet Peninsula , County Mayo
The Mullet Peninsula is a 30km long region and is one of the most sparsely populated in all Ireland. The largest town on the Peninsula itself is Belmullet and was founded in 1825 by a local landlord. Two of Irelands finest beaches are located on the Mullet Peninsula, called Mullaghroe and Elly.
