- I am first generation british and have always thought of myself has Irish I am a singer and I play the bodhran. I am a Mum to Libby and Amelia. In 1995 I came over to Ireland to find some of my family on my Mothers side in the Gelty mountains. I had a great reception. I would dearly love to find family on my fathers side he came over in the 50's and we lost site of him in the early 60's. We were all in care and I have'nt seen my father since I was 5 so have no real information about him other than his name was Patrick Joseph Quinlan. I am now 54 so he would easily be in his 80's I really dont know where to start. I wondered if there is anyone that could give me some idea where i could start please,
