We hope that you enjoy our range of Ireland Maps.
They are designed using 360 degree technology called ipix. The first ipix image usually takes between 10 - 20 seconds to load but subsequent 360 degree images should load in under 10 seconds - they are worth the wait so please be patient !
360 degree images allow the viewer to control what angle they want to see. By holding down your left mouse key and dragging it on the image the user can control the viewing angle. Try looking upwards , downwards, left or right. We believe that by using these images you feel you are actually standing in Ireland.
We also use a range of Google Maps which allow the user to zoom in and out of the maps by using the controls on the top left hand corner of the maps. As you zoom in names of the roads and streets appear. Also note that by dragging your mouse on the map you can re centre the map to your area of interest. Google maps also allow you to switch viewing into a satellite view, by the controls in the top right hand corner of the maps. While this is clear around Dublin, unfortunately the rest of the country is not too clear.
We welcome any comments or feedback you may have to john@lookaroundireland.com
Enjoy !
